Initiating project
We encourage all groups to download our project description form and send a filled out form to the Genomics CoLab. For groups new to working with us or returning groups with projects that may require additional attention, we highly encourage we hold a project meeting ahead of receiving samples. During this meeting we consult with groups regarding their experimental design, choice of methodologies to best answer a given scientific question, technical issues regarding cell isolation or RNA extraction, sequencing consideration and bioinformatic analysis options.
Turn around times
Bulk RNA-seq: From sample submission to delievered fastq files is typically 6-8 weeks. Additional analysis is often 1-2 weeks of added time.
Single cell RNA-seq: Sample submission to delievered fastq files is typically 4 weeks.
Spatial transcriptomics: These technologies will vary as they are new, but Xenium is likely to be ~2-3 weeks and Visium, is likely 4 weeks.
For larger projects
We highly encourage larger projects to reach out to Walter Eckalbar. It may be beneficial to engage in collaborative efforts rather than our fee-for-service model.
Stand alone consultation
We can also offer project consulting as a stand alone service. This may be most beneficial prior to writing grants or during experimental planning.
